On January 6, 2026, East Harlem comes alive with color, music, and tradition for the Three Kings Day Parade (El Día de los Reyes). Organized by El Museo del Barrio, this is one of NYC’s most authentic and joyous cultural celebrations.
Camels on Park Avenue
The parade usually begins at 106th Street and Park Avenue. The highlight? Live camels walking the streets of Manhattan, accompanied by colorful puppets, parrandas (musical processions), and thousands of schoolchildren. It is a celebration of community and Latin American heritage that defies the cold.
