The January 2026 Bronx event calendar kicks off with a glowing farewell. The Bronx Zoo Holiday Lights festival concludes its spectacular run on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
New for 2026: The Freeze Zone
If you haven’t seen the new “Freeze Zone” immersive projection mapping yet, this is your last chance. The zoo transforms after dark with over 400 lantern sculptures and synchronized light shows.
Visitor Strategy
Tickets are time-entry only. We recommend the 5:00 PM slot to watch the sunset transition into the dazzling light display. Dress warmly—this is an outdoor walking experience!
