When Is the NYC June 2026 Primary Election?
Election Day for the June 2026 Primary is Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. across all five boroughs. This primary election covers citywide offices including Mayor, Comptroller, and Public Advocate, as well as City Council seats and other local races across New York City.
New York City uses ranked-choice voting in primary elections for most citywide and local offices. If you have not voted in an RCV election before, it is worth reviewing how ranking your choices works before you arrive at the polls.
How to Find Your NYC Poll Site
Your assigned poll site is based on your registered home address and may differ from past elections due to redistricting or site changes. The NYC Board of Elections maintains an official lookup tool at findmypollsite.vote.nyc. Enter your address to see your specific poll site for both early voting and Election Day.
Do not rely on the location you used in a previous election. Poll sites are subject to change. The Board of Elections also mails a voter notification card to registered voters before each election — check that card for your assigned site and district information.

Early voting poll sites are often different from your Election Day poll site. They are typically consolidated countywide sites, meaning you can go to any early voting location in your borough — not just the one nearest your home. The poll site finder tool will show you all available early voting locations in your county.
