Barclays Center Logistics: Transit, Entrances, and Game-Day Service Guide (Evergreen)
Service-around-the-game guide for Barclays Center in Brooklyn: transit, entrances, parking, bag policy, accessibility, and last-train timing. Sourced from Barclays Center and MTA primary documents.

Address: Barclays Center, 620 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217. Phone: (917) 618-6100. The arena sits at the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and Atlantic Avenue in Prospect Heights, directly on top of one of New York City’s largest transit hubs.

This is a logistics guide. No scores, no recaps, no predictions — just the service information you need to get in, get to your seat, and get home.

Best transit option: the subway, every time

According to the MTA’s official guide to Barclays Center, the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R, and W trains all stop at the Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center station, located directly beneath the arena. Once you exit your train, follow the signs in the station to Barclays Center — final walking time from the turnstile to the Main Atrium entrance is roughly two to four minutes depending on the platform.

The MTA confirms Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center is an accessible station with elevators.

Two backup options if the main station is crowded:

  • C train to Lafayette Avenue — exit and walk west toward Fort Greene Place, then turn left toward the arena. The MTA notes this station is not accessible.
  • G train to Fulton Street — two blocks south of the arena. Also not accessible.

Long Island Rail Road: across the street

LIRR’s Atlantic Terminal sits directly across the street from Barclays Center on Atlantic Avenue. Per the MTA, the stop is within LIRR’s Zone 1, and trains to and from Jamaica Station run every 8 minutes at peak and every 20 minutes off-peak. Barclays Center’s own transit page confirms that Atlantic Terminal late-night service is generally provided for late-night events on weeknights and weekends up to 2 AM. Atlantic Terminal is an accessible station.

Bus options

The MTA lists the following buses stopping near Barclays Center: B25, B26, B37, B38, B41, B45, B52, B63, B65, B67, and B103. All MTA buses are accessible. For exact stop locations consult the Brooklyn bus schedules on mta.info.

The seven entrances — pick the right one

Per the official Barclays Center entrance map, the arena has seven entrances:

  1. Main Atrium Entrance — corner of Flatbush Avenue and Atlantic Avenue. This is the default for most general-admission ticket holders. CLEAR members get an expedited lane here.
  2. Qatar Airways VIP Entrance — northwest corner of the arena on Atlantic Avenue. Premium guests only.
  3. Crown Entrance — northwest corner on Atlantic Avenue, just past the Qatar Airways VIP entrance.
  4. American Express Card Member Entrance — on Atlantic Avenue. Open to Amex cardholders.
  5. Lyft Atlantic Entrance — northeast corner of the arena on Atlantic Avenue.
  6. Dean Entrance — southeast corner on Dean Street. Nets Level Members get an expedited lane.
  7. Flatbush Entrance — the only entrance on Flatbush Avenue.

Pro tip: If you’re coming up directly from the Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center subway station, the Main Atrium entrance is the closest. If you’re walking from Fort Greene, the Dean Street entrance is usually less crowded.

Cheapest legal parking

Barclays Center does not operate its own parking lot. The official parking page directs guests to SpotHero as the arena’s official partner for advance parking reservations. Prices vary by event and day; reserving in advance via the official SpotHero partner widget on barclayscenter.com is the only sanctioned method the venue endorses.

The bottom line on driving to Barclays: with the subway sitting directly under the arena and the LIRR across the street, public transit is faster and almost always cheaper than parking. The arena’s own page states plainly: “Public transit is the fastest, most convenient way to travel here.”

Bag policy and prohibited items

Per the official Barclays Center prohibited-items list:

  • Bag size limit: Bags larger than 10″ x 6″ x 2″ are not permitted. Hard-sided bags are also prohibited, regardless of size.
  • No outside food or beverages (exceptions for documented medical needs — contact guestservices@barclayscenter.com in advance).
  • No cans, bottles, boxed liquids, or insulated containers. Note: for certain sporting events, 24 oz or smaller reusable water bottles are allowed. Glass is never allowed.
  • No professional camera equipment — detachable lenses, lenses greater than 3″, external flashes, tripods, monopods, or bipods.
  • No audio/video recording devices, drones, laser pointers, selfie sticks, or noisemakers.
  • No signs, flags, or banners larger than 11″ x 17″, and none attached to poles or made of hard material.

Re-entry policy

Barclays Center has a no re-entry policy. Once you leave the arena, your ticket is no longer valid for that event. Plan your food, restroom, and smoke breaks accordingly — the venue is also a vape- and smoke-free environment per the official guest services guide.

Restrooms

Per the Barclays Center Disabled Services A-Z Guide, all public restrooms are ADA accessible. Public restrooms are located on the Main Concourse and the Upper Concourse, distributed around the seating-section pattern. Guest Services Centers are located outside Section 12 on the Main Concourse and Section 212 on the Upper Level — both can direct you to the nearest restroom if needed.

If you need a restroom before entering: Atlantic Terminal’s LIRR concourse and several nearby cafes on Flatbush Avenue and Atlantic Avenue have public-facing facilities.

Accessibility entrance and services

Per the official Disabled Services A-Z Guide, all entrances at Barclays Center are ADA accessible. Key services:

Food and drink near the arena

Barclays Center sits at the convergence of three high-density Brooklyn dining corridors: Flatbush Avenue, Atlantic Avenue, and Fifth Avenue in Park Slope, all within a short walk of the Main Atrium. Five established neighborhoods to consider for pre- or post-event food and drink:

  1. Flatbush Avenue (between Atlantic and 7th) — quick-service slice shops, taquerias, and casual sit-down options within a 2–5 minute walk of the arena. Best for fast pre-event bites.
  2. Atlantic Avenue (between 4th and Hoyt) — Middle Eastern, Caribbean, and bar-restaurant options. Walking time 5–10 minutes depending on block.
  3. Fort Greene (DeKalb and South Portland) — sit-down restaurants and craft cocktail bars within an 8–12 minute walk. Quieter post-event option once the arena empties out.
  4. Park Slope (5th Avenue between Bergen and St. Marks) — broad mix of pizza, pubs, and family-friendly restaurants 5–10 minutes south.
  5. The Atlantic Terminal mall and Pacific Street side — chain options and a food court inside the mall directly across from the arena, useful when weather is bad and the LIRR is your ride home.

Note on prices: Restaurant pricing changes frequently. Confirm current menus and prices on each establishment’s own page before going. This desk does not publish unverified dollar figures.

Last train and bus timing

For typical evening events ending between 10 PM and 11 PM:

  • Subway: All of the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R, and W lines serving Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center run 24 hours, though late-night frequency drops significantly after midnight. Check the MTA Trip Planner for your specific destination.
  • LIRR Atlantic Terminal: Barclays Center coordinates with the MTA to provide late-night LIRR service on event nights, generally up to 2 AM on weeknights and weekends. Always confirm your specific train on web.mta.info/lirr/Timetable before relying on the last train.
  • Buses: Most Brooklyn local bus lines (B25, B45, B63, B67, etc.) have late-evening service but reduced frequency after 11 PM. Plan a 10–25 minute wait at night.
