Barclays Center Logistics Guide: Parking, Transit, Food & Everything You Need Before You Arrive
Everything you actually need before arriving at Barclays Center — best transit routes, parking garages with walking times, nearby food spots, bag rules, accessibility entrances, and last train times.

Barclays Center sits at one of the most transit-accessible intersections in New York City — the corner of Atlantic and Flatbush Avenues in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Whether you’re heading to a Nets game, a New York Liberty matchup, a concert, or a boxing card, the logistics are the same. This guide covers everything service-oriented: how to get in, where to park, what to eat nearby, and how to get home after the final buzzer.

Venue Address & Entrances

Barclays Center
620 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217
Phone: (917) 618-6100

Barclays Center has six active entrances. Here’s where to find each one:

  • Main Atrium Entrance (primary) — Corner of Flatbush Avenue and Atlantic Avenue. This is the go-to entrance for most general admission guests. CLEAR Members can use a dedicated expedited lane here.
  • Lyft Atlantic Entrance — Northeast corner of the arena on Atlantic Avenue. Best for rideshare drop-offs from the Atlantic Ave side.
  • American Express® Card Member Entrance — On Atlantic Avenue. Amex cardholders can use this dedicated lane for faster entry.
  • Qatar Airways VIP Entrance — Northwest corner of the arena on Atlantic Avenue. Premium ticketholders only.
  • Crown Entrance — Northwest corner on Atlantic Avenue, just past the VIP door.
  • Dean Entrance — Southeast corner of the arena on Dean Street. Expedited access for Nets Level Members. Good option if you’re coming from the Dean Street side or arriving via bike.
  • Flatbush Entrance — CURRENTLY CLOSED. Use the Main Atrium or Dean Entrance instead.

The full entrance map is at barclayscenter.com/getting-here/entrances.

Parking: Cheapest Legal Options & Walking Times

Barclays Center does not own or operate any parking garages. The arena’s official parking partner is SpotHero, which lets you pre-book spots at nearby garages before your event — typically cheaper than showing up day-of. Prices vary by event and demand, but pre-booking via SpotHero generally starts around $20–$30 for regular events and $35–$50+ for high-demand nights. Book at barclayscenter.com/getting-here/parking.

Key garage locations around the arena (all independently owned and operated):

  • GGMC Parking — 625 Atlantic Avenue (~3 min walk to Main Atrium). Note: accessible only via Hanson Place — Atlantic Avenue access has been closed.
  • Cielo Garage @ Atlantic Terrace — 201 South Portland Avenue (~6 min walk). One of the more convenient post-game options due to its side-street location.
  • iPark — 585 Dean Street (~5 min walk to Dean Entrance).
  • GGMC Parking — 66 Rockwell Place (~7 min walk).
  • Hub Brooklyn — 333 Schermerhorn Street (~8 min walk). Better for pre-event since it requires walking through a few blocks of local streets post-game.
  • iPark — 99 3rd Avenue (~10 min walk). Worth considering if closer options are full.
  • SP+ Parking — 540 Waverly Avenue (~10 min walk).

Honest advice: If you’re coming from Manhattan or anywhere with subway access, parking is almost never worth it. Post-game congestion around Atlantic and Flatbush is severe on big nights. The 2/3 train will get you home faster than sitting in traffic.

Best Transit Routes & Station Walk Times

Barclays Center sits directly on top of one of the largest transit hubs in Brooklyn. The venue is served by 11 subway lines and the Long Island Rail Road.

Subway

Atlantic Terminal–Barclays Center Station (2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R trains)
Located at Atlantic Avenue and Flatbush Avenue — exit directly into the arena plaza. Walk time: under 2 minutes to the Main Atrium Entrance. This is the recommended stop for almost everyone.

Lafayette Avenue Station (C train)
Located at Fulton Street and South Portland Avenue. About an 8-minute walk to the arena. Useful if you’re transferring from the A/C lines in Fort Greene.

Fulton Street Station (G train)
Located at Fulton Street and Fort Greene Place. About a 10-minute walk. The G is reliable off-peak but can run infrequent on weeknights — check the MTA schedule at new.mta.info before you leave.

Long Island Rail Road (LIRR)

Atlantic Terminal is directly across the street from the arena — one of the most convenient LIRR stops in the outer boroughs. From Jamaica Station it’s approximately 20 minutes. This is the fastest option for anyone coming from Long Island or JFK Airport via the AirTrain–Jamaica connection.

Late-night LIRR service runs up to 2 AM on weeknights and weekends for major events. Check live schedules at mta.info/lirr.

Bus Routes Serving the Arena

MTA buses B25, B26, B41, B45, B52, B63, and B67 all stop near Barclays Center. Use the MTA Trip Planner for point-to-point bus directions from your neighborhood.

Restrooms: Inside the Venue & Nearby Outside

In-venue: Public restrooms are located on every concourse level inside Barclays Center. Family restrooms are available and accessible near the guest services areas on the main and upper concourses. Lines build quickly at halftime and between periods — use the break right before the half ends to beat the rush.

Outside the venue: The best nearby option is Atlantic Terminal (the LIRR station directly across the street from the arena), which has public restrooms available during operating hours. This is also useful if you arrive early and want to avoid the crowd inside before gates open.

Accessibility Entrance & Services

Barclays Center is fully ADA compliant. Wheelchair-accessible entrances are available at all active gate locations. The arena has accessible seating on every level, elevator access to all concourses, and accessible restrooms on every floor.

For guests with specific mobility, hearing, or vision needs, Barclays Center maintains a dedicated Disabled Services A-Z Guide at barclayscenter.com/center-info/disabled-a-to-z-guide. For advance accommodations, contact guest services at guestservices@barclayscenter.com or call (917) 618-6111 before your event.

Food: 5 Spots Within Walking Distance

You don’t have to eat overpriced stadium food. These are walkable options before (or after) any Barclays Center event:

  • Junior’s Restaurant — 386 Flatbush Avenue Extension at DeKalb Ave, ~2 min walk from the Main Atrium. One of Brooklyn’s most iconic spots. Classic diner menu — burgers, club sandwiches, hot plates — plus the famous cheesecake. Entrees roughly $15–$28. Open late, and the line moves fast even on busy nights.
  • Atlantic Terminal Mall Food Court — Directly across the street inside the LIRR terminal building. Multiple fast-casual options including Shake Shack. Good for a quick pre-game bite without going out of your way. Most vendors open until 9 PM. Expect $9–$16.
  • Alchemy — 56 5th Avenue (about 10 min walk toward Park Slope). A neighborhood gastropub with solid bar food — elevated burgers, wings, and shareable plates. Reliable crowd before evening events. Average spend $14–$22 per person.
  • Olea — 171 Lafayette Avenue, Fort Greene (~10 min walk). Mediterranean small plates and wood-fired mains. Good for a sit-down dinner before an early event. Expect $18–$32 per person. Reservations recommended on event nights.
  • Colonia Verde — 219 Dekalb Avenue (~12 min walk into Fort Greene). Peruvian-inspired, open kitchen, strong cocktail program. A solid choice if you want something more intentional before a show. Entrees $20–$36.

All of the above are open in the evening and within a reasonable walk. Always check hours before event nights as schedules can vary.

Bag Policy & What You Can’t Bring In

Barclays Center enforces a standard bag size policy. Here’s what you need to know before you pack:

  • Bags must be 10″ x 6″ x 2″ or smaller. Anything larger — including standard backpacks — will not be admitted.
  • No hard-sided bags of any size.
  • No bag check service is offered by the venue. If your bag is too large, you’ll need to return it to your car or hotel.
  • All bags are x-ray screened and subject to thorough inspection, which can slow entry. Come early on busy nights.
  • Guests without bags can use Express Lanes for faster entry — worth knowing if you’re running late.
  • Medical bags, baby bags, plastic bottles, and formula are permitted with proper identification.
  • Some events impose stricter bag rules (including no bags of any size). Check your specific event page on barclayscenter.com before arriving.

Re-Entry Policy

Barclays Center has a strict no re-entry policy. Once you exit the venue, you cannot re-enter with the same ticket. Plan accordingly — use the in-venue food and restroom facilities and don’t leave unless you’re done for the night.

Last Train & Last Bus After the Game

Getting home is rarely a problem from Barclays Center, but timing matters:

  • Subway (2/3/4/5/B/D/N/Q/R) — The Atlantic Terminal–Barclays Center station runs 24 hours. You will never miss the last train here. The 2 and 3 are the fastest routes to Midtown Manhattan. The Q and B are direct to Midtown via the Manhattan Bridge.
  • LIRR from Atlantic Terminal — Late-night service runs up to 2 AM on weeknights and weekends for major events (four eastbound and four westbound trains added). Standard service resumes early morning. Check mta.info/lirr for real-time schedules the day of your event.
  • Buses — MTA local bus service continues through the night on the major routes serving the arena. Off-peak frequency drops — if it’s past midnight, subway or rideshare is more reliable.
  • Rideshare pickup — Use the Lyft Atlantic Entrance (northeast corner on Atlantic Ave) as your designated rideshare meetup point. Expect surge pricing for 15–30 minutes immediately after large events end. Walking one block away before requesting often reduces wait time and cost.

This guide covers permanent logistics for Barclays Center. Specific events may have additional entry restrictions or modified policies. Always check the official event page at barclayscenter.com before attending. For transit planning, use the MTA Trip Planner.
