Lunar New Year 2026 Kickoff at Flushing Town Hall
Start the Year of the Red Horse early at Flushing Town Hall. Details on the ‘Red Horizon’ art exhibition and the Insun Park concert this January.

Date: Exhibition Opens Jan 23, 2026
Location: Flushing Town Hall

Flushing is the heartbeat of NYC’s Asian community, and there is no better place to welcome the Year of the Red Horse than at Flushing Town Hall. While the parades happen later, the cultural celebration begins in January with the opening of the Red Horizon: Art. Heritage. New Energy exhibition.

The Event

On January 23rd, the hall hosts an opening reception featuring a traditional Korean Tea Ceremony. This is a refined, beautiful way to engage with the holiday’s traditions before the loud firecrackers of the street festivals. The exhibition itself features contemporary works by Asian and Asian-American artists exploring themes of heritage and momentum (fitting for the Horse zodiac).

Concert: Insun Park & Generals

Later in the month (Jan 31), the hall hosts Korean vocal legend Insun Park for a rare intimate performance blending traditional rhythms with rock energy. It’s a testament to the high-caliber international talent that Flushing Town Hall attracts.
