NYC Subway Service Alerts: Sunday May 10 Wind-Down + Monday’s 7 Train Queens Skip-Stop Begins
Sunday’s remaining 7 train, L train, and Bronx weekend disruptions, plus the May 11–22 Manhattan-bound 7 train skip-stop kicking off at 3:01 a.m. Monday.

Sunday is the wind-down day of a heavy weekend on the rails, but if you’re heading out tonight or planning your Monday commute, there are still a handful of NYC subway service changes you need to know about. Here’s the rundown for the rest of the May 8–11 weekend, plus the big Queens story that kicks in at 3:01 a.m. Monday and runs through May 22.

What Lines Are Affected

The headline disruptions for the remainder of this weekend, all confirmed via the MTA Weekender for May 8–11, 2026:

  • 7 train — No service between 74 St-Broadway and 34 St-Hudson Yards through 3:30 a.m. Monday.
  • L train — Running in two sections at Broadway Junction through 10 p.m. Sunday.
  • 1 train — Stopping at 79 St and 86 St in both directions through 5 a.m. Monday because of structural maintenance.
  • 4 train (Bronx) — Manhattan-bound trains skip Mosholu Pkwy through 10 p.m. Sunday.
  • 6 train (Bronx) — Manhattan-bound trains running express from Parkchester to 3 Av-138 St through 5 a.m. Monday.
  • A and C trains (Brooklyn) — Skipping Ralph Av and Rockaway Av in select directions through 5:30 a.m. Monday.
  • N train (Brooklyn) — Coney Island-bound trains running nonstop from 18 Av to Kings Hwy through 5 a.m. Monday.

7 Train: Flushing Line Shutdown in Queens and Manhattan

The big one. From 11:30 p.m. Friday through 3:30 a.m. Monday, 7 trains aren’t running between 74 St-Broadway and 34 St-Hudson Yards. Flushing-bound trains are running express from 74 St-Broadway to Mets-Willets Point. At Junction Blvd, all trains are stopping at the Manhattan-bound platform. The cause is ongoing station renewal work along the Flushing Line.

Three free shuttle buses are filling the gap:

  • T320 — 74 St-Broadway to Queensboro Plaza, local stops.
  • T323 — Queensboro Plaza to Vernon Blvd-Jackson Av, local stops.
  • T260 — Overnight in Manhattan between Times Sq-42 St and 34 St-Hudson Yards.

Even better option: the LIRR is accommodating subway riders at no additional cost between Queens and Manhattan at Flushing, Mets-Willets Point, Woodside, Grand Central Madison, and Penn Station. If you’re exiting at Queensboro Plaza or Court Sq, ask the station agent for a GO Ticket so you can re-enter without paying again. The 42 St Shuttle is running all weekend, including overnight.

L Train: Two-Section Running in Brooklyn

From 4 a.m. Saturday through 10 p.m. Sunday, signal work is splitting the L line into two sections at Broadway Junction. Trains run every 8 minutes between 8 Av and Broadway Junction, and every 10 minutes between Broadway Junction and Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy. You’ll need to transfer at Broadway Junction to continue your trip — Canarsie-bound L trains are stopping at the J/Z platforms there.

Heads Up for Monday: 7 Train Skips Four Queens Stops Through May 22

Even after the weekend shutdown ends, 7 train riders in Queens have a longer change to plan around. Beginning 3:01 a.m. Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 22, Manhattan-bound 7 trains will skip 69 St, 52 St, 46 St-Bliss St, and 33 St-Rawson St for structural improvements. If you board at one of those stations, take a Flushing-bound 7 to the next available stop and double back, or use the Q32, Q60, or Q66 buses for short hops along Roosevelt Avenue.
