Queens delivers options across all interests this weekend. The Sopranos exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image is on its final weekend in Astoria, the Queens Night Market kicks off its regular Saturday evening session in Flushing Meadows, a free street festival fills Long Island City on Saturday afternoon, and the Noguchi Museum is celebrating 40 years. Here is your borough guide.
Sopranos Exhibit Closes Sunday — Final Weekend in Astoria
“Stories and Set Designs for The Sopranos” at the Museum of the Moving Image (36-01 35th Avenue, Astoria) wraps up on Sunday, May 31. The exhibit draws from showrunner David Chase’s personal archive to present scripts, notes, and research material documenting how the show evolved from pilot to first season. It also details how four iconic settings — Dr. Melfi’s office, the Soprano home, the Bada Bing, and Satriale’s Pork Store — were built between on-location New Jersey shoots and Silvercup Studios sets right here in Queens. Open Wednesday through Sunday. Admission applies.
Also at MoMA PS1 (22-25 Jackson Avenue, Long Island City), the “Greater New York 2026” survey exhibit runs through August 17, featuring more than 50 multidisciplinary artists from the NYC area. The two museums are close enough to visit both in one LIC-Astoria afternoon.
Queens Night Market Every Saturday Night
The Queens Night Market is now in its 11th season at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, running every Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight through August 22. Around 100 independent vendors offer food, art, and merchandise celebrating the cultural diversity that makes Queens singular. Free to enter; pay per vendor. Arrive between 4 and 6 p.m. to get ahead of the evening rush. For more on the neighborhood surrounding Flushing Meadows, our recent deep dive on Flushing in 2026 is worth reading before you go.
LIC Springs! Street Festival — Saturday
LIC Springs! is a free neighborhood festival running Saturday, May 30 from noon along Vernon Boulevard between 46th and 50th Avenues in Long Island City. Local vendors, live music, and community programming fill the LIC waterfront strip. Easy walk from the Queens Plaza or Vernon-Jackson subway stops, and pairs well with a visit to the Noguchi Museum or Socrates Sculpture Park nearby.
Noguchi Museum: 40th Anniversary Exhibition
The Noguchi Museum (9-01 33rd Road, Long Island City) is celebrating its 40th anniversary with “Noguchi’s New York,” focused on sculptor Isamu Noguchi’s relationship with the city. Some of his works are already part of everyday NYC — the Red Cube at 140 Broadway and the Sunken Garden at Chase Manhattan Bank Plaza in Lower Manhattan. Open Thursday through Monday. Admission applies, and the sculpture garden makes it worth the trip from any borough.
Champions League Final Watch Parties in Astoria — Saturday
For soccer fans, the UEFA Champions League Final is on Saturday, May 30 with kickoff at noon. Multiple Astoria bars are hosting watch parties — the dense bar and cafe scene around Steinway Street and 31st Avenue makes Astoria one of the best neighborhoods in the city for watching major international matches with a real crowd.
