Barclays Center Logistics: New York Liberty Game-Day Transit, Entrances & Service Guide (June 2026)
How to get to Barclays Center for a New York Liberty game: subway, LIRR, and bus routes, the right entrance, bag policy, no re-entry rules, accessibility, and how to get home — all from official Barclays Center and MTA sources.

Service-and-logistics guide only. No scores, recaps, or predictions. All details below are drawn from official Barclays Center and MTA sources and reflect standard event-night operations for the New York Liberty season.

Barclays Center sits on top of one of the busiest transit hubs in New York, which is good news if you are heading to a New York Liberty game, a Brooklyn Nets game, or a concert and want to skip the parking headache. This guide covers exactly how to get there, where to enter, what you can bring, and how to get home — all sourced from the arena and the MTA directly. It holds across the Liberty season, the Nets season, and the concert calendar, so save it for any night you are Brooklyn-bound.

Where it is and which entrance to use

Barclays Center is located at 620 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217, at the corner of Flatbush and Atlantic Avenues in Prospect Heights. The arena has seven entrances, but most general-admission ticket holders will use one of two:

  • Main Atrium Entrance — at the corner of Flatbush Avenue and Atlantic Avenue. This is the primary entrance and the one closest to the subway. A dedicated CLEAR member lane is available here.
  • Flatbush Entrance — the only entrance on Flatbush Avenue, useful for spreading out the crowd on a busy night.

The other five are the Qatar Airways VIP Entrance, Crown Entrance, and Lyft Atlantic Entrance (all on the Atlantic Avenue side), the American Express Card Member Entrance (Atlantic Avenue), and the Dean Entrance (southeast corner on Dean Street, with an expedited lane for Nets Level Members). All seven entrances are ADA accessible.

Best transit option: the subway

Public transit is the fastest, most convenient way to reach Barclays Center, and the subway puts you essentially at the door.

The 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R, and W trains stop at Atlantic Av–Barclays Ctr, the station located directly below the arena. Once you exit, follow the in-station signs to Barclays Center — walking time to your seat is only a few minutes. This station is accessible.

Two nearby alternatives, useful when the main station is crowded:

  • C train to Lafayette Av — exit and go west toward Fort Greene Place, then turn left to reach the arena. This station is not accessible.
  • G train to Fulton St — exit and walk two blocks south to the arena. This station is not accessible.

Long Island Rail Road

If you are coming from Long Island or Queens, the LIRR’s Atlantic Terminal station is directly across the street from Barclays Center. The stop is in LIRR Zone 1. Trains run frequently to and from Jamaica Station — about every 8 minutes at peak hours and every 20 minutes off-peak — and Atlantic Terminal is an accessible station. Barclays Center coordinates with the LIRR on event nights, and Atlantic Terminal late-night service is generally provided for late-night events on weeknights and weekends, up to about 2 AM. Always confirm your specific train on the MTA Trip Planner before you leave, since exact times depend on the night.

Buses

Eleven bus routes stop near the arena: the B25, B26, B37, B38, B41, B45, B52, B63, B65, B67, and B103. All MTA buses are accessible. For exact stop locations check the MTA’s Brooklyn bus schedules.

Getting home after the event

The subway is the most reliable way out, with the Atlantic Av–Barclays Ctr station running its full set of lines below the arena well into the night. For LIRR riders, Atlantic Terminal generally holds late service until roughly 2 AM on event nights — but because a Liberty game, Nets game, and concert can end at very different times, the single best move is to check the MTA Trip Planner or the LIRR timetable for your exact return train before the event ends. Buses run on their normal schedules; confirm the last departure for your route on the MTA’s Brooklyn bus schedule.

If you drive

Driving to Barclays Center is the slow option, but if you must, SpotHero is the arena’s official parking partner and lets you reserve a nearby garage spot in advance through the Barclays Center parking page — booking ahead is almost always cheaper and faster than circling for a street spot. The arena publishes turn-by-turn driving directions to the Flatbush Avenue and Atlantic Avenue entrances from Manhattan, Queens/Long Island, and Staten Island/South Brooklyn on its Public Transportation & Driving page. Note that street parking in Prospect Heights, Fort Greene, and Park Slope is heavily restricted on event nights.

Bag policy and prohibited items

Barclays Center enforces a strict bag policy. Bags must be no larger than 10″ x 6″ x 2″ and cannot be hard-sided. Coolers of any size — including soft-sided — are prohibited, as are outside food and beverages (with exceptions for documented medical or special needs). Also left at home: weapons of any kind, cans and bottles, professional camera equipment (detachable lenses, tripods, monopods), audio/video recording devices, laser pointers, drones, selfie sticks, signs or banners larger than 11″ x 17″, and noisemakers.

Water-bottle exception: for certain sporting events, reusable water bottles of 24 oz or smaller are permitted — but no glass, ever. If you have a medical dietary need, contact Guest Services at 917-618-6111 ahead of time to arrange accommodations.

Re-entry

Barclays Center has a no re-entry policy. Once you leave the building, you cannot come back in on the same ticket. Plan accordingly — grab what you need before you go in, and do not step outside for a phone call or a smoke expecting to return.

Restrooms

All public restrooms inside Barclays Center are accessible to guests with disabilities. If you need a restroom before heading in or after leaving, the surrounding Prospect Heights and Fort Greene blocks and the adjacent Atlantic Terminal mall have publicly accessible options in their cafes, restaurants, and retail spaces.

Accessibility

Every entrance at Barclays Center is ADA accessible, and the Atlantic Av–Barclays Ctr subway station and LIRR’s Atlantic Terminal are both accessible stations. Key accessibility services, all confirmed by the arena:

  • Access-A-Ride stops on the south side of Atlantic Avenue, between Ft. Greene Place and 6th Avenue, nearest the Atlantic Entrance.
  • Assistive listening devices are free at the Guest Services Centers (outside Section 12 on the Main Concourse and Section 212 on the Upper Level); play-by-play audio is also available over 97.5 FM.
  • Elevators serve the Main Concourse, both Suite Levels, and the Upper Concourse, with Event Level access available via Guest Services escort.
  • Sensory inclusive: the arena is a certified sensory-inclusive venue with free KultureCity sensory bags and the Greyson Mathews Sensory Room near Section 17.
  • OneCourt haptic broadcast devices for guests who are Blind or Low Vision are available by reservation and first-come, first-served at Guest Services (outside Section 12) for Nets games.
  • Service animals are welcome; the venue is vape- and smoke-free.

For any accessibility arrangement, reach Guest Services at 917-618-6111 or guestservices@barclayscenter.com.

The short version

Take the 2/3/4/5/B/D/N/Q/R/W to Atlantic Av–Barclays Ctr and you are under the arena. Enter at the Main Atrium on the Flatbush/Atlantic corner. Keep your bag under 10″ x 6″ x 2″, remember there is no re-entry, and plan your ride home before the final buzzer — LIRR holds late service to about 2 AM on event nights, but always confirm your exact train on the MTA Trip Planner.
