Openings

Golden Mall Manhattan — Midtown (Now Open)

The beloved Flushing food destination has made its Manhattan debut. Golden Mall’s new Midtown location opened March 30 and is already drawing lines. The ground floor is anchored by bubble tea chain Xing Fu Tang alongside Zhengxin Chicken Steak and more vendors bringing Flushing-quality Chinese street food to the center of Manhattan. If you’ve ever made the trek to Queens just for a scallion pancake or a proper cup of brown sugar boba, you’ll want to check this out.

Cafe Fleuri — Financial District (Now Open)

The Vienna-themed Schilling on Fulton Street has been transformed into Cafe Fleuri, a floral-filled all-day cafe that opened in late March. It’s a full concept overhaul — lighter, brighter, and more cafe-forward — filling a real gap in the FiDi neighborhood for a good sit-down coffee experience. Worth bookmarking for your next downtown workday.

Tachi — Hell’s Kitchen (Now Open)

A 12-seat omakase counter opened quietly in Hell’s Kitchen on March 26, and the buzz is real. Tachi is a walk-ins-only omakase experience — no reservations, no fuss — set inside a minimalist space featuring polished marble and hinoki wood. A two-room sake bar operates alongside the counter for those who want to drink without committing to the full meal. The no-reservation model makes this genuinely accessible in a way most omakase spots are not.

Let’s Chama! — Manhattan Bakeries (Now Open)

The team behind beloved Georgian restaurant Chama Mama opened two bakery spinoffs called Let’s Chama! in mid-March. Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., the bakeries serve the khachapuri, mushroom pie, and chocolate cigaretti that Chama Mama fans already love — in a grab-and-go format that makes Georgian baked goods finally accessible for a weekday morning.

Cocktail Omakase — Lower East Side (Now Open)

Opened March 27 on the Lower East Side, Cocktail Omakase is exactly what the name suggests: a Tokyo-inspired cocktail tasting menu with four cocktails and four paired bites at $55 per person. It’s a full experience for cocktail nerds, not just a bar visit. Seats are limited and the concept is tight — perfect for a date night that’s genuinely different.

Philippe Chow — Midtown East Flagship (Now Open)

The iconic Chinese restaurant Philippe Chow has relocated from the Upper East Side to a new Fifth Avenue flagship in Midtown East, which opened March 27. The new space is larger and more prominent, bringing the restaurant’s upscale Chinese-American menu to one of Manhattan’s most trafficked corridors.

Coming Soon

Bar Ferdinando — Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn (April 2026)

One of the most anticipated Brooklyn openings of the spring is Bar Ferdinando in Carroll Gardens, which will revive the historic Ferdinando’s Focacceria space — a 121-year-old institution at 151 Union St, Brooklyn. The new concept is Sicilian-focused with an amaro-forward cocktail program. The original Ferdinando’s was a true neighborhood legend; the team taking over has a lot to live up to.

Marcel — Upper East Side (Opening April 16)

The Breuer Building on the Upper East Side will get a new restaurant tenant when Marcel opens April 16. The concept leans into 1960s-inspired atmosphere, with views into an open kitchen and a sculpture garden. It’s one to watch this spring.
